We believe that God is the only God and is the creator of all that is or ever will be. We believe that God is absolutely sovereign, all powerful, all knowing, and ever present. We further believe that God is triune in nature (three yet one). God the Father as described above is also identified with:
Jesus Christ; the unique son of God who came to earth as God incarnate, born of a virgin, fully God and fully man. As God in the flesh he died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead to break the power of death over us, ascended to heaven where He now resides at the right hand of God, will return to earth to claim His followers from among the living and the dead, and is the sole source of salvation.
The Holy Spirit; also fully God, acting as our comforter, equipper, counselor, etc., as He personally indwells and works in the lives of Christians.
We also believe that the Bible, as recorded in the sixty-six books from Genesis through Revelation, is the inspired word of God, infallible and inerrant. The Bible is an authoritative word and absolutely binding on Christians in all matters of doctrine, practice, and precept.
We believe that all men are fallen by virtue of sin and in need of salvation which we understand as the restoration of our broken relationship to God through the work of Jesus Christ. This salvation is entered into by hearing and believing the gospel message, repenting of sins, confessing Jesus Christ as the son of God, and being baptized into the likeness of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ by immersion in water for the remission of sins. While this salvation is absolutely secure as the promise of God, we believe that sinful man by virtue of his free will can depart from a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe the church to be the ‘called out’ community of Jesus Christ on earth. The church is His body, brotherhood, and bride. The church owes her allegiance to Christ above and beyond all the claims of men expressed in any forms whatsoever, including creedal statements and denominational hierarchies.
