This camp is designed to provide a Christian camping opportunity for those who may struggle with physical and/or mental disabilities.  The campers will be involved in various supervised activities ranging from more quiet times of devotion to upbeat times of praise music, games and swimming.  


Session 1: Sunday June 10th - Wednesday June 13th 

Session 2: Wednesday June 13th - Saturday June 16th



From the time the campers wake up in the morning, until they go to bed at night, they will be under the watchful care of volunteers committed to ensuring that they have an amazing time at the retreat.


Program Director

Our Program Director Roberta “Bobbie” Castor, along with her husband Gary  and two children, Gary Jr. & Cara attend Greenford Christian Church, where she serves as the Leader for the Special Needs Ministry room. She also works as an Instruction Specialist for The Rich Center for Autism.  Bobbie received her Master in Health and Human Services degree from Youngstown, State University.  She was previously employed for four years by the State of Ohio as a Therapeutic Program Worker. She has worked with a wide range of individuals with cognitive delays and challenging behaviors.

$200 per session (this includes all meals, lodging and programming)


What to Bring

  • Bible
  • Medications (must be in original containers with  complete instructions/before arrival please give your camper any evening medications that can be taken.
  • Clean Clothes: Enough clean clothes (including ample supply of disposable undergarments if needed) for each day of the retreat. Mark each piece of your  camper’s belongings with their name.
  • Mattress pad/cover: (if camper uses at home) twin sheets, blankets, and pillow.
  • Towels and wash cloths
  • Personal toiletries
  • Swimsuit must be one piece and modest


What to Leave at Home

  • Personal CDs/Ipods
  • Cell Phones/Electronic Games
  • Tobacco Products and Alcohol
  • Food items (except if required for diet)
  • Inappropriate clothing
