OUR HISTORY

Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp was founded in 1958 by the Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ from the Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia tri-state area.  The original camp consisted of a 160 acre farm, with a farmhouse which served as the kitchen and girls dorm, and a barn which served as the boys dorm downstairs, and meeting space upstairs.

In 1977, the camp was able to add an additional 65 acres of land to the camp. With the addition of the Retreat Center in 1996, Remodel of Elkhorn Commons in 2012 and the recent completion of an upgraded dorm building, Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp is now a year-round camp, conference and retreat facility.

Since the time of our founding, we have sought to continually grow and improve, always striving to provide an excellent experience for all who visit. Our focus and mission has always been on building and strengthening the Body of Christ.  Click the links on this page to find out more about who we are and our mission.
